A Perfect World
As is specified in the Bible in Genesis there was a world that was perfect. Oh how I would have loved to see what the Garden of Eden looked like. Well recently, I read that technically "Heaven" is considered the perfect place. I thought to myself, well that is true. We are also told that we were created to have free will and make choices -- so that's pretty much is what got us in trouble with then having an imperfect world after a forbidden choice was made by Adam and Eve. So today, I'm just going to share what I think a perfect world might look like. As I write this blog today, I want to remind the readers of my blog that I want them to be interactive. I'd love to hear some of your ideas and welcome you to interject those in the comments area. As much as I love writing, I also love to read. My perfect world dialogue is purely fiction of course. I recognize that my perception is very one sided as well.
I've been thinking about this idea of a perfect world for a while now. Without sounding cliche of course, a perfect world would be a peaceful one. People would treat everyone kindly. There would not be hate, only love. We wouldn't fight over territory. There would be constant sharing of resources. We would work together to accomplish an order of organization. There would not be so much socio-economic differences, thus eliminating poverty. In my perfect world, we would work, but doing what we have always aspired to do instead of compromising -- for those like myself who did compromise their passion.
Understand that because I have not been successful on this earth with marriage, my opinion on marriage is skewed. However, when you read the Bible (my belief system) -- in perfect heaven there won't be anymore marriages. Sure, we have been told that we will remember those who we lived life here while on earth. I'm sure we will hang out. I shudder to think that I won't be elated to see my dear loved ones who have parted before me at the reunion when we are finally reunited. But my perfect world would not include adverse relationships. And I often wonder, how would reproduction have been in a perfect world. In our imperfect world, intimacy has caused a lot of complications. I'm not speaking for those with successful monogamous relationships (please don't find offense in my fictional thinking).
A perfect world would be void of obesity, disease and anything deemed unhealthy or a challenge. Understand that in our current world, I love all individuals regardless of our differences and challenges.. Definitely not having to die would be nice too!! We have been given such a love for continued living.
There would be no crime. This subject can go into many areas of the mind. We all have experienced this in some form here. I'd love if some of those that I experienced, never existed. There is so much chaos as a result of criminal behaviors and actions.
A perfect world would also include humanity living in harmony with all the animals. I mean, wouldn't holding an animal or insect that is deemed dangerous now, be awesome if it wasn't dangerous? I'd love to hold a spider that doesn't bite me. Imagine petting a lion or bear. We would live like Cinderella and have butterflies and birds not fear us. When I think about pests, how could that be perfect? Cockroaches are scary looking, but what if they were a clean species rather than coming from sewage?
A perfect world would be void of pollution. All our ecosystems would continue to work as intended. I guess that also goes along with clean energy, etc. Oh and our weather systems would be as they were intended and not cause catastrophic destruction as it does now. There wouldn't be rough roads and potholes.
I still like the idea of speaking different languages and cultures, because that is what makes our world so beautiful. I love the diversity and cultural differences. I wonder if we didn't have the Tower of Babel if we would all be speaking Jesus's language. It would be nice if borders didn't exist -- but in an organized way where equity still existed and we could visit other countries without prejudice.
I love the balance of land and water. A perfect world would include as much land as water. As a person who loves the ocean and lakes, I'd love to live near water and not fear that those bodies of water become imbalanced and cause flooding and such.
A perfect world would include amazing music, pleasant sounds and amazing meditative silence. It would be nice if everyone was able to be creative -- like with art and woodworking etc.
A perfect world to me would be seasonal time frames that are tolerable. We would enjoy a normal four seasons. There wouldn't be any dead areas of land that wasn't full of resources for us to enjoy. No droughts or flooding. I love Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall seasons. I guess I wouldn't want the extreme seasons we have now due to where we live regionally.
As I reflect on my fictional ideas of a perfect world, I know we are promised something amazing when we get to heaven. Although we have a little insight of what that might look like, the Bible is pretty silent as to how the perfect system will all work. I like the idea of no more suffering and tears. I'm blown away at the idea that we more than likely won't only be using a 10th of our brains. That's exciting to me.
I could go on and on about my "perfect world", but I know this blog has an end. Our world has become what it is and I accept it full heartedly. However, it's nice to imagine what a perfect world might be like. In Genesis 1:31: God looked upon all that He had made, and indeed, it was very good." -- We know that a perfect world was intended.
